Michelle, Scott, Meyer & May London
Scott and Michelle originally met in junior high. Throughout their junior high and high school years they knew each other, or at least knew of each other, from singing in choir together, but there certainly was no romantic connection back then. They didn't even see one another after graduation until their ten year class reunion. It was there that Scott invited Michelle to go for a ride on his new Harley, but he forgot to give her his number. Ever resourceful, Michelle left a message for him at the Carlsbad Police Department. Ever since that first ride to dinner at White's City, they have been inseparable. They were married within six months.

Michelle has always known adoption was the route she wanted to go. Scott will tell you, unequivocally, that May and Meyer are THEIR daughters.
Free time in the London household has always been a bit elusive. May has been with Scott & Michelle since she was a month old. Talented & smart, Scott will tell you he is constantly amazed by May. She has been dancing since she was five. May is a beautiful ballerina, although, she will sometimes admit that tap is her favorite dance. Watching her parents lead singing in church as she was growing up, it was no surprise when May stepped up and began leading worship at church, too. Active with FFA, May is enrolled in the vet. tech. program at Granbury High School and plans to attend college after graduation in 2024 to become a veterinarian. She's also very strong. May is a two-time state qualifier in powerlifting. And as long as we're bragging, May is a total package. With good grades and a compassionate heart, she was selected to be inducted into the National Honor Society. Did we mention, she's smart?
Meyer is the newest edition to the household, being born in August of 2022. Starting over as new parents at the mid-century mark is a sure-fire way to stay young, or at least that's what Scott and Michelle are hoping for. Watching all the "firsts" again is definitely a joy. She may not let them sleep at night, but she keeps them smiling through the days.
Scott and Michelle have not only sought out children to raise, they have also taken care of previous generations. When Scott's grandfather, TL London was 97, and living home alone; Scott, Michelle, May and Hilly (the dog), moved in with TL to help take care of him and allow him to stay in his own home. Initially, it was light supervision, grocery shopping, some chauffeuring, and a lot of domino playing. However, 12 months later, when TL fell and broke his hip while chopping weeds in the yard, life changed again. Following the hip replacement on this spry 98-year-old, the level of care increased. With lots of therapy, however, TL was dancing with the ladies at his 99th birthday party. With help and determination, TL's final two life goals were achieved. Eight months after his century mark, he made it past 100 (goal 1) living in his own home (goal 2).

Dancing is good therapy for a broken hip.
The London family is active at Acton Baptist Church. Scott has sung in the choir, although lately he finds himself upstairs with the tech crew most Sundays. Michelle will tell you that singing with the choir is her favorite, but she has become an anchor on the praise and worship team. May plugs in where ever she's needed. She leads music for the youth, sings in the modern service on occasion, and helps with the tech crew when needed. And Meyer, of course, is busy making everyone smile in the hallways when she's not keeping the nursery workers on their toes.
Scott and Michelle have also been members of the Gideons International since 2011. Some day, you may find Scott coming to your church to give an update on the work of the Gideons ministry.
